There are 3 gears on VDO electronic analog speedometers that can cause your speedo to not work properly. The small white drive gear shown is always in position 1 and the larger white gear shown (48x12) is always in position 2. These gears never vary…they are always in this configuration. It is the gear in position 3, the dark gear shown here, that varies. You must inspect your speedometer and then inform us as to which 3rd position gear you need. The 3rd position gear could be a 12, 15, or 16 inner count gear. These repair kits will work on all electronic VDO speedometers model year 1981-1995 (Analog not Digital).
