The control pressure cable should be checked under the following circumstances: gear changes jolt in the partial load range (medium speed), upshifts only occur in the upper speed range, no down shifting with the accelerator depressed (kick down), or no down shifting when moving the gear selector from drive to a lower gear. There is limited adjustment of the control pressure cable, however, these symptoms can have other causes. Professional diagnosis is recommended.
